The Laurier Summer Institute for Research Methods (LSIRM) is a 2-week summer school designed to offer both introductory and advanced training in research methods for students, researchers, and professionals across Southwestern Ontario.

Offering courses in Meta Analysis, Realist Review, Data Visualization and R, and much more, the LSIRM is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to hone their skills and other professionals to pick up new research techniques.

Where: Brantford Campus, Odeon Building (Rm OD-210)

Workshop description: This workshop is ideal for anyone working, or planning to work, with survey data. No background in research methods or statistical analysis is required. This workshop introduces basic skills in data analysis using SPSS. The day will mix discussion of statistical analysis principles (e.g. variables, formulating hypotheses, levels of measurement, univariate statistics, bivariate statistics, etc.) with hands-on training.
