Course Description
This class will introduce students to data visualization using the R and ggplot2 software. Students will learn the principles underlying ggplot2, how to prepare and manipulate datasets in order to create basic visualization such as barplots, scatterplots, line plots and panelled plots. As a prerequisite, students should have some familiarity with R.
Instructor Bio
Simon Kiss is an Associate Professor of Human Rights and Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University. He conducting advanced social scientific research with R and ggplot2 since 2010. He has also taught many workshops and classes.
