All Dominion Institute Surveys focus on the knowledgeability of Canadians in issues that deal with citizenship, culture, and heritage.

The Dominion Institute, Becoming Canadian Poll, 2007 [Canada] is a short survey interested in studying immigrants to Canada and how they perceive their ethnic identities.  Specific topics in this survey covered ethinic and cultural identification and its’ importance, number of friends of the same racial background, participation in activities, groups, and organizations, and one’s sense of belonging to Canada. There were 8128 respondents recorded.

The Dominion Institute, Canada Day Poll, 2007 [Canada] is a short survey interested in studying Canadian’s opinions on symbols and dual citizenship. Specific topics in this survey cover geographic group, national identity, Canadian symbols, and the Canadian flag. There were 3164 respondents recorded.

The Dominion Institute, Flags at Vimy Ridge Ceremony Poll, 2007 [Canada] is a short survey interested in the debate about whether or not to hang the Red Ensign at the Vimy Ridge 90th anniversary ceremony. Specific topics in this survey covered whether or not to fly two flags at the Vimy Ridge ceremony. There were 1000 respondents recorded.

The Dominion Institute, National Citizenship Exam, Part 1, 2007 [Canada] survey is interested in studying how Canadians compare to potential immigrants on a similar citizenship exam. The second part of this survey applies the same exam to 1004 recent immigrants. Specific questions in this survey cover voting requirements, responsibilities of Canadians, Canadian geography, bilingualism, the national anthem, Canada’s largest trading partner, Canada’s Head of State, and the government. There were 1005 respondents recorded.

Specific topics in this survey covered Canadian history questions, questions about the ideal history course, which subjects are important for life skills, and general feelings about the quiz. There were 1004 respondents recorded.
